‘Gore’ by UEA alumna Jenny Pagdin has been awarded second prize in the 2021 Café Writers Open Poetry Competition, judged by Philip Gross. Her poem ‘Houses’ was also highly commended. Jenny (pictured) studied English at Oxford University and graduated from the MA Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA in 2009. Her pamphlet Caldbeck was published by Eyewear in 2017, shortlisted for the Mslexia pamphlet competition and listed by the Poetry Book Society. She won the Café Writers Norfolk prize in 2017 and the 2020 Alumno Norwich City Wall commission. She was longlisted for the Rebecca Swift Foundation prize in 2018.
