Sundial is the new novel by UEA alumna Catriona Ward and is published this week by Viper Books in the UK and Tor Nightfire in the USA. Catriona was born in Washington DC and grew up in America, Kenya, Madagascar, Yemen and Morocco. She studied English at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2011. Her debut novel, Rawblood, was published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 2015 and was the winner of the Best Horror Novel award at the British Fantasy Awards in 2016. It was also shortlisted for the 2016 Authors’ Club Best First Novel Award. Little Eve, her second novel, was published in the UK by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 2018 and won the prize for best novel in the Shirley Jackson Awards for outstanding achievement in horror, psychological suspense, and dark fantasy fiction. Her previous novel The Last House On Needless Street was a Sunday Times bestseller.
