UEA alumnus Luke Wright has been shortlisted for a fourth time for a Saboteur Award in the Best Spoken Word Performer category. Luke graduated from the UEA BA in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2003 and is the author of several books, including Mondeo Man (2012) and The Ballad Seller (2020), a limited edition collection of long-form poems illustrated by Martin Rowson. In 2020 he won a Saboteur Award in the Best Spoken Word Show category for his show The Remains of Logan Dankworth, which was also shortlisted in the Poetry category of the East Anglian Book Awards. Last year he was shortlisted for the BBC Audio Drama Awards in the Best Debut Performance category for Christabel. Luke performed online every night via Twitter throughout the first COVID-19 lockdown, and in 2021 published a new collection of poetry, The Feel-Good Movie of the Year, with Penned in the Margins. The 2022 winners of the Saboteur Awards will be announced on 14 May.
