sikfan glaschu, the debut poetry collection by UEA alumnus Sean Wai Keung, has been shortlisted for the inaugural Kavya Prize, which recognises Scottish writers of colour and is open to full-length works of fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry. Founded by Leela Soma in association with the Creative Writing Programme at the University of Glasgow, it is worth £1000 to the winner, who will also receive a residency at the Moniack Mhor Writing Centre. sikfan glaschu was published last year by Verve Press. Sean graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA in 2016, having previously gained a BA in Creative Writing from Roehampton University. His pamphlet, you are mistaken, was the winner of the inaugural Rialto Open Pamphlet Competition and was published in 2017.
