A Season in Exile is the new crime novel by UEA alumnus Oliver Harris and has just been published by Little, Brown. Oliver was born in north London in 1978 and gained a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare Studies from University College London before completing his MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2004. He completed a PhD on antiquity in the work of Jacques Lacan at Birkbeck’s London Consortium. His first novel The Hollow Man was published in 2011. Deep Shelter followed in 2014 and The House Of Fame in 2016. A Shadow Intelligence, which was published in 2019, was shortlisted for the 2020 Crime Writers Association (CWA) Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award. This was followed by Ascension in 2021.
