Short stories by UEA alumna Louise Mangos have recently been shortlisted for the Yeovil Literary Prize and awarded third prize in the Lucent Dreaming Short Story Competition. Louise (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Crime Fiction) in 2019. Her first novel Strangers on a Bridge was shortlisted for the Flash 500 Opening Chapter Competition in 2015 and for the Exeter Novel prize in 2016, and was longlisted for the Bath Novel Award in 2017. It was published in 2018 by HQ Digital, an imprint of Harper Collins. Her second novel Her Husband’s Secrets (previously titled The Art of Deception) was published in 2019, also by HQ Digital. The Beaten Track, her third novel, was published by Red Dog Press earlier this year.
