Feral Borough is a new work of non-fiction by UEA alumna Meryl Pugh and is published by Penned in the Margins this week. Meryl graduated from the UEA PhD in Creative and Critical Writing in 2016 and recently returned to UEA to teach on the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry). Her debut collection of poetry, Natural Phenomena, was published in 2018 by Penned in the Margins and longlisted in 2020 for the inaugural Laurel Prize, an annual award for the best collection of nature or environmental poetry. Meryl is also the is the author of three pamphlets of poetry: Relinquish (Arrowhead Press) in 2007, The Bridle (Salt) in 2011, and Wife of Osiris, a prose poem published by Verve Press last year.
