Naomi Wood and Andrea Mason shortlisted for the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize

Two UEA alumnae have been shortlisted for the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize and will be published in a limited-edition collection by Desperate Literature and one of their partner journals. Naomi Wood (pictured), who graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2008 and from the PhD in Creative & Critical Writing in 2013 and is now a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at UEA, is shortlisted for ‘Helen! Helen! Helen!’; and Andrea Mason, who graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2004 and gained a PhD in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths, London, in 2020, is shortlisted for ‘Today, at the Dump, the World is in the Bin.’
