The Witching Tide is the debut novel by UEA alumna Margaret Meyer and is published by Phoenix (UK) and Scribner (US) this week. Margaret graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2020. She was born in Canada, grew up in New Zealand and now lives in Norwich, England. Her writing includes essays, flash fiction and short stories. The Witching Tide was inspired by the events of the East Anglian witch hunt of 1645-7 and is dedicated to the more than 100 innocent women who lost their lives.
