Tom Watson shortlisted for Arthur C. Clarke Award

Metronome by UEA alumnus Tom Watson has been shortlisted for the Arthur C. Clarke Award. Tom graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2017 as the recipient of the Curtis Brown Prize for best student writing. He previously worked for a Japanese trading house, and his fiction has since been shortlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Bridport Prize, and was runner-up in the Seán Ó Faoláin Prize. Metronome, his debut novel, was published in 2022 by Bloomsbury and is also currently longlisted for the Goldsboro Books Glass Bell Award,
