Israelophobia: The Newest Version of the Oldest Hatred & What To Do About It is the newest book by UEA alumnus Jake Wallis Simons and is published by Constable this week. Jake graduated with a first-class degree in English from St Peter’s College, Oxford, before completing his PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA in 2009. His first novel, The Exiled Times of a Tibetan Jew, was published in 2005 and was followed by The English German Girl in 2011. A thriller, The Pure, was published under the name Jake Simons in 2012. And, Jam, was published in 2014. Jake joined The Telegraph as a features writer in 2012, and in 2013 he wrote and produced ‘Meet the Settlers’, the Telegraph’s first major multi-media documentary, which won a European Newspapers Award for digital journalism. He is a regular contributor to ‘From Our Own Correspondent’ on BBC Radio 4 and the World Service and is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts. In 2021 he was appointed Editor of the Jewish Chronicle.
