editor

Two UEA alumni have been shortlisted for The Writer’s Prize, formerly known as the Rathbones Folio Prize, an award open to all works of literature written in English of any genre or form (except for books written explicitly for children) and published in the UK. Paul Murray (pictured), who graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2001, is nominated in the fiction category for The Bee Sting; and Anne Enright, who graduated from the MA in Creative Writing in 1987, is also nominated in the fiction category for The Wren, The Wren. The winner of each category—poetry, fiction, and non-fiction—will receive £2,000, and the overall winner will receive £30,000. The prize winners will be announced at the London Book Fair on 13th March.
