Trevor Wood longlisted for Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year

You Can Run by UEA alumnus Trevor Wood has been longlisted for the Harrogate Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year. Trevor graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Crime Fiction) in 2017 and published his first novel, The Man on the Street, with Quercus in 2019. This was followed by One Way Street in 2021 and Dead End Street in 2022, and then You Can Run in 2023. Trevor previously served in the Royal Navy for sixteen years and subsequently worked as a journalist and for Newcastle City Council. With co-writer Ed Waugh, he has had eight stage plays professionally produced in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. The Man on the Street won the 2020 CWA New Blood Dagger and was shortlisted for the 2021 Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel Of The Year. It has been optioned for TV and film by World Productions.
