First, I Turn Off the Light is the debut poetry pamphlet by UEA alumna Katy Mack and is published by Broken Sleep Books this week. Katy graduated from the Creative and Critical PhD in 2022 and is currently a Research Impact Fellow at The University of Sussex. She was a prize-winner at the 2013 Troubadour International Poetry Prize, and her poems have appeared in various publications including The Poetry Review, Ambit, Poem International, Poetry Birmingham Literary Journal, and Perverse.
