Alice Slater wins Capital Crime Debut Book of the Year

Death of a Bookseller by UEA alumna Alice Slater has won the Capital Crime Debut Book of the Year Fingerprint Award. Alice studied Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University before graduating from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2011. She worked for several years as a bookseller, and is the co-host of the literary podcast ‘What Page Are You On?’. She writes about short stories for Mslexia. Death of a Bookseller was also longlisted for the Crimefest Specsavers Debut Crime Novel Award.
