John Boyne longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award

Water by UEA alumnus John Boyne has been longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award. The Award is one of the most significant literature prizes in the world, worth €100,000 for a single work of fiction in original English or translated into English. John graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing in 1995, and returned as a Creative Writing Fellow in 2004, and as a tutor on the Creative Writing MA in 2014. His first novel, The Thief of Time, was published in 2000, since then he has published a dozen other novels for adults and five novels for younger readers. The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas was made into a feature film by Miramax. The Echo Chamber, was published by Doubleday in 2021 and shortlisted for the Eason Novel of the Year Award at the An Post Irish Book Awards; All the Broken Places was published in 2022; Water was published in 2023; and Fire was published in 2024.
