Naoise Gale shortlisted for The Moth Poetry Prize

‘Towards Holkham’ by UEA alumna and current student Naoise Gale has been shortlisted for the The Moth Poetry Prize. Naoise (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2024 and is currently on the Creative and Critical PhD. Her debut pamphlet After the Flood Comes the Apologies was published by Nine Pens in October 2021. Her first full-length collection IMPLODE EXPLODE was published by Beir Bua in 2022. Naoise won the 2023 Ledbury Poetry competition and won third-place in the 2023 Poetry Book Awards. She was also longlisted for the 2023 Disabled Poets Prize and the 2022 Fish Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for the 2021 Creative Futures’ Writers Award. Her work has been published in Opia Lit, Versification and Nightingale and Sparrow, among others.
