
Anappara, Deepa
Deepa Anappara worked as a journalist in India for eleven years. She has an MA in Creative Writing from UEA, where she is currently studying for a Creative-Critical Writing PhD on a CHASE scholarship. A partial of her first novel, Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line, won the Deborah Rogers Foundation Writer's Award, the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize, and the Bridport/Peggy Chapman-Andrews Award for a First Novel. It is published by Chatto & Windus in the UK and Random House in the US, and is being translated into 19 languages.
