Justine read English Literature at Durham University and spent twenty years as a teacher before taking the MA in Biography and Creative Non Fiction at UEA. She has had work published by the Bronte Society and blogs on the subject of loss at afterwards.live. Justine is particularly interested in the hidden histories of women and enjoys bringing to light the experiences of those who have lived in the margins. Justine lives with her five-year-old son in Suffolk where together they are learning the patience needed to distinguish between a whimbrel and a curlew.
