Lauren Cortese is a PhD candidate at UEA working on a creative-critical thesis with research focused on representations of American identity through travel narratives in post-9/11 fiction. Originally from the suburbs of Washington DC, she received her MFA in Creative Writing at the College of Charleston prior to moving to Norwich.
