

Louise Doughty attended the MA course at UEA from 1986-7 and was taught by Malcolm Bradbury and Angela Carter. Since then, she has published six novels and one work of non-fiction. Her first book, Crazy Paving, was shortlisted for four awards including the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize. Her most recent is Whatever You Love, which was shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award and nominated for the Orange Prize and a London Book Award. She has also won awards for short stories and radio plays and broadcasts regularly for BBC Radio 4. In 2008, she was a judge for the Man Booker Prize. Her new novel, Apple Tree Yard, will be published by Faber & Faber in 2013.
