Furukawa, Hideo

Hideo Furukawa, a novelist born in Fukushima, has received the Mystery Writers of Japan Award, the Japan SF Grand Prize and the Yukio Mishima award. English translations of his stories and essays have appeared in various collections including Monkey Business (A Public Space) and March Was Made of Yarn: Reflections on the Japanese Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Meltdown (Random House). His Naoki Award shortlisted novel Belka, Why Don’t You Bark?  will be published in English translation by Haikasoru in October 2012.
