Sunetra Gupta is a novelist and Professor of Theoretical Epidemiology at the University of Oxford. She is the author of five novels, including A Sin of Colour, which was longlisted for the 2000 Orange Prize. She has been awarded the Scientific Medal by the Zoological Society of London and the Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Award for her scientific research, and the Sahitya Akademi Award for her fiction.
