Haratischwili, Nino
Nino Haratischwili was born in 1983 in Georgia and is an award-winning novelist, playwright and director. Feeling at home in two worlds, each with their own language, she has been writing both in German and Georgian since the age of twelve. In 2010 her debut novel Juja was nominated for the German Book Prize and the ZDF- aspekte-Literature Award and was awarded the debut prize of the Buddenbrookhaus. My Gentle Twin has been chosen for the Hotlist of Independent Publishers 2011. She lives in Hamburg.
