Suzanne Joinson is an author; her debut novel A Lady Cyclist's Guide to Kashgar was published in 2012 by Bloomsbury and was longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and translated into 16 languages. Her next novel The Photographer's Wife will be published in April 2016 by Bloomsbury. In 2008 she won the New Writing Ventures Award for Creative non-fiction for ‘Laila Ahmed’. She writes for a range of publications and previously worked in the literature department of the British Council, travelling regularly to the Middle East, North Africa, China, Russia and Europe.
