Anne Lavelle Ng is an A-Level student at HELP International School. As a pianist in her school orchestra, she spent years navigating the pressures of performance, perfectionism and leadership. Meanwhile, creative writing offers her freedom to break away from rigid expectations. Her writing style is defined by a distinct approach where she strips away traditional essay constraints by grounding her pieces in modern trends and digital footprints. Through her work, Lavelle explores the themes of authenticity, identity and the heavy emotional weight of growing up in a curated world. Moving away from the need to perform for an audience, she uses music and writing as an honest space to reflect and tell her own story as a way to embrace herself.
