Amy McTighe has been a Foreign and Commonwealth Office diplomat, English teacher, archaeologist and journalist. She speaks Arabic and has lived and worked across Africa and the Middle East. She writes fiction and non-fiction and has reported for The Times. She now splits her time between Norwich and the volcanic island of Montserrat.
