Matthew Mooney was born in Huddersfield in 1985. Before embarking on postgraduate studies, he toured in a punk band for six years. In 2010 he studied an MA in Critical and Cultural Theory. Now studying at UEA, he is currently working on his first novel, The Big Other. He is also a support worker for a man with a brain injury.
