Rowley, Rex

Rex Rowley is a recent graduate of the UEA Creative Writing MA. He plans on attending a PhD program in the upcoming academic year. Currently he is completing his debut novel, an expansive work encompassing eras and peoples lost, living, and to come. The bulk of the novel takes place in North America, from the 1600's to the 2100's, journeying from Atlantic to Pacific and back. Formally inventive, the kaleidoscopic narrative is connected by its panorama of characters. Ranging from Puritanical heretics to lonely nuclear physicists, the novel explores how these individuals navigate the chaos and hope that burn all around them as societies rise and fall.
