New Writing

Rajasree Variyar was born in Bangalore, grew up in Sydney, and now lives in London, where she juggles careers in writing and insurance. In 2020, she completed her MA Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. Her short stories have been longlisted for the Brick Lane Bookshop SS competition and won second prize in Shooter Literary Magazine's short story competition. The Daughters of Madurai, her first novel, was shortlisted for Hatchette UK's Mo Siewcherran prize.   photo c: Paul Whelan
