Williams, Luke
Luke Williams was born in 1977 and grew up in Fife, Scotland. He studied History at Edinburgh University, and Creative Writing at UEA. In 2003, he was a recipient of the Charles Pick Fellowship. His first novel, The Echo Chamber, will be published in the UK by Hamish Hamilton in May 2011 and in the US by Penguin Viking in August 2011. Luke's practice is research-based and informed by his studies in History: through his work he seeks to interrogate the formal gap between history and story. He divides his time between Edinburgh and London.
