

Woodward, Catherine
Cat Woodward is a feminist modern lyric poet. Cat studied at UEA; her PhD is in robot and lyric voice, and her doctoral research was funded through a CHASE studentship. Her first collection, Sphinx, was published by Norwich-based Salò, press in 2017. In 2018 she won the Ivan Juritz Prize for creative experiment. Her current poetry project, 'Imitations' is funded by an Author's Foundation grant awarded by the Society of Authors. Cat is also a Creative Writing teacher. This year, she is reading at a number of literary events around England, including UEA Live, The Lancaster Words Festival, and The Nottingham Poetry Exchange, to celebrate the publication of her second collection, Blood. Flower. Joy! (Knives, Forks and Spoons press). Poems from this collection will feature in lights as part of the 2019 Blackpool Illuminations.
