Alastair employs fictionalised selves in order to dramatise encounters with memory and reflect on his subjective experience, often juxtaposing images with text to explore their interactions. He read English at the University of Oxford and is currently on the Prose Fiction MFA at Brooklyn College, where he received the Truman Capote Fellowship.
