Amber Massie-Blomfield
Amber Massie-Blomfield’s first book, Twenty Theatres to See Before You Die, was published by Penned in the Margins in May 2018, and received the Society of Authors’ Michael Meyer Award. She is a regular contributor and columnist for The Stage, and has written for titles including The Independent, The Guardian, The Pool, Standart, Exeunt, New Internationalist, Open Democracy, Run Riot, and The Journal of Wild Culture. She is the winner of Gladstone Library’s political writer-in-residence prize 2019 and was shortlisted for the 2019 Theatre Book Prize. As an arts producer and consultant, Amber has worked for clients including Pro Helvetia, Barbican and Free Word. She was Executive Director of Camden People’s Theatre from 2014 – 2018, where she was selected by the Evening Standard as one of ‘18 Women to Inspire the Next Generation’ on International Day of the Girl 2017, and received a Special Achievement Award at the 2018 Off West End Awards in recognition of her work there. She is a fellow of Birkbeck, University of London and the Royal Society of the Arts.
