Clancy Martin is a Canadian novelist, essayist and philosopher. His debut novel How To Sell was published in 2009 and nominated as a Book of the Year in the TLS and The Guardian. His philosophical memoir Love and Lies was published in 2015. He has translated Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, has written and edited several books of philosophy for Oxford University Press, and has published essays, reviews and short stories in numerous journals including The New Yorker, The New Republic, The New York Times, the LRB and the TLS. He is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Missouri.
