Jasmin Unsworth

Jasmin Unsworth is a Year 12 student and School Captain at the Australian International School, Malaysia. With a multicultural background spanning Australia, the UK, and Malaysia, she enjoys exploring how different cultures and perspectives shape identity and community. Her interest in the social sciences, human behaviour, and global affairs has led her to participate in debating, the World Scholar’s Cup, and Model United Nations. She has also been recognised in competitions including the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, the Junior Authors Competition, and, most recently, the UEA Southeast Asia Writing Competition, where she received a Highly Commended award.  Through her writing, Jasmin hopes to explore questions of identity, belonging, and representation while sharing stories that reflect diverse cultural experiences.
