Robert Ashton
Robert Ashton grew up in Suffolk and spent his teenage years working on farms a few miles from where oral historian George Ewart Evans wrote Ask The Fellows Who Cut The Hay. He is a graduate of the UEA Biography and Creative Non-Fiction MA 2020. Researching his book Where Are The Fellows Who Cut The Hay? Robert met descendants of people Evans had interviewed in the early 1950s, as well as visiting people who today are bringing back almost forgotten rural ways.
Where Are The Fellows Who Cut The Hay? is being published by crowdfunding publisher Unbound as a high quality, first edition hardback. You can support the campaign here.
