Sarah Stephenson

Sarah Stephenson is a playwright who grew up in Somerset and Manila. Her short and one-act plays have been staged at theatres including: The Royal Court, Live Theatre, Theatre Deli and Theatre N16.

 

Sarah was initially developed as a writer through the Royal Court’s Open Court Festival, and she is drawn to stories that explore memory, identity, and the lives of outsiders.

 

Sarah is a graduate of the Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia, and is currently working on her full-length play Driftwood, a dark family drama about the commune movement in rural England.
