

Sumana Roy teaches at Ashoka University. Her first book, How I Became A Tree, a work of nonfiction, was published by Aleph in 2017. Her first novel, Missing, followed in 2018, and she has since published Out of Syllabus: Poems (Speaking Tiger, 2019), and My Mother’s Lover and Other Stories (Bloomsbury, 2019). Her poems and essays have also appeared in Granta and The LA Review of Books, among other journals. She lives in Siliguri in India.
