Tarini Seghal
My name is Tarini Sehgal. I am currently in Year 13, and I am honoured to have been selected as a Highly Commended winner in the UEA Southeast Asia Writing Competition. Since I can remember, writing has always been at the centre of my life. As someone who has lived away from home and grown up in different places, small acts like keeping a journal or creating short stories were ways I could actively engage with the world around me while also providing me a safe space to understand myself better. Aside from writing, in my spare time I enjoy playing music, and have been a self-taught guitarist for over 6 years now. On the weekends, I like to relax by spending time in nature, going hiking with my family, or exploring various parts of the city with my friends.
