A short story by UEA writer Philip Langeskov is to be included in the forthcoming anthology, ‘The Best British Short Stories 2011’, edited by Nicholas Royle and scheduled for publication in April by Salt. Philip graduated from the UEA Creative Writing MA in 2009 and is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing under the supervision
of Professor Amit Chaudhuri. A former commissioning editor at the academic publisher Pearson Longman, Philip teaches on UEA’s undergraduate creative writing programme. His story, ‘Notes on A Love Story’, was published by Five Dials last year. Also included in the Salt anthology is a short story, ‘Tristram and Isolde’, by UEA Emeritus Professor in Creative Writing, Michele Roberts, a former director of the Creative
Writing MA who now teaches Autobiography on the Lifewriting MA. Michele’s memoir, ‘Paper Houses’, was published by Virago in 2007 while her most
recent collection of stories, ‘Mud: Stories of Sex and Love’, was published last year.
