New fiction by two UEA graduates is included in ‘Edgeways’, a collection of the best short stories from this year’s Spread the Word Short Story Prize. The collection is edited by Courttia Newland, and is the first publication from Flight Press, the publishing imprint of the literature development agency Spread the Word. Toby Litt (pictured) graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing in 1995, and is included for his story ‘Changing Room’. Earlier this year he was shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award. K.J. (Katherine) Orr graduated from the MA in 2007 and is included for her story ‘The Ice Cream Song is Strange’.
