‘River of Ink’, the debut novel by recent UEA graduate Paul Cooper, was the subject of a multiple-publisher auction at the recent London Book Fair. Paul (pictured) has now agreed a two-book deal with Bloomsbury, who will publish ‘River of Ink’ in summer 2015. Paul graduated from Warwick University with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2012, and was awarded the Seth Donaldson Memorial Bursary on joining the UEA Creative Writing (Prose) MA, from which he graduated in 2013. He has worked for several literary magazines, including Leaf Books Writers’ Magazine, New Welsh Review, and Asymptote, the online journal of literary translation. He taught English for six months in Sri Lanka, researching ‘River of Ink’, much of which was written during his MA.
