‘The Longest Flight’ is the new novel by Emily Bullock and is published by Myriad Editions today. Emily (pictured) graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2004 and has recently completed a PhD at the Open University, where she also teaches Creative Writing. Her first novel, ‘The Separate Principle’, was published by Legend Press in 2008 with the support of the Arts Council Funded YouWriteOn scheme. In 2011 she won the Bristol Short Story Prize with her story ‘My Girl’, which was later broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Her memoir piece ‘No One Plays Boxing’ was shortlisted for the Fish International Publishing Prize in 2013 and her short story ‘Zoom’ was longlisted for the Bath Short Story Prize in 2014. She also won the National Writers in Education Conference (NAWE) Short Story Competition in 2013.
