UEA alumna Sophie Collins has won an Eric Gregory Award at this year’s Society of Authors awards for her debut collection of poetry, Who Is Mary Sue?, which was published by Faber & Faber last year. Sophie studied Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College, London, before joining the UEA Creative Writing (Poetry) MA in 2012. She previously received an Eric Gregory Award in 2014, and in 2016 was published alongside Anne Carson and fellow UEA graduate Emily Berry in the first volume of the relaunched Penguin Modern Poets series. She is currently working towards a PhD in Poetry and Translation at Queen’s University, Belfast.
