The Truants is the debut novel by UEA alumnus Kate Weinberg and is published in the UK by Bloomsbury this week. Kate studied English at Oxford University before graduating from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2000. She has since worked as a slush pile reader, a bookshop assistant, a journalist and a ghost writer. She lives in London with her family.
