The Righteous Spy is a new espionage novel by UEA alumna Merle Nygate and is published by Verve Books this week. Merle graduated from the UEA MA in Crime Fiction in 2017 as the winner of that year’s Little Brown/UEA Crime Fiction Award. She is a screenwriter, script editor and screenwriting lecturer, and has worked on BAFTA winning TV, New York Festival audio drama, and for BBC Comedy Commissioning. She has previously published the suspense novels Be My Friend (2014), Snap (2014), Short Season (2014), Mother Care (2015).
