All Our Broken Idols is the second novel by UEA alumnus Paul M.M. Cooper and is published by Bloomsbury this week. Paul was born in South London and grew up in Cardiff. He gained his BA at the University of Warwick before joining the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2013 as that year’s recipient of the Seth Donaldson bursary. After graduating in 2014 he left for Sri Lanka to work as an English teacher and subsequently returned to UEA to complete his PhD in Creative & Critical Writing. His first novel, River Of Ink, was published in January 2016, and he has also written journalism and features for the New York Times, the BBC, The Atlantic, National Geographic, and Discover Magazine.
