Miss-Communication is the new publication by UEA alumna Joanna Walsh and is published by JOAN in collaboration with Kingston Fine Art Stanley Picker Programme. The book was written in collaboration with an Artificial Intelligence, created by Joanna, and the publication is accompanied by an interactive website. Joanna (pictured) completed her PhD in Creative & Critical Writing at UEA in 2020. Among her previous books are Break.up, Vertigo, Hotel, Seed, Grow a Pair, Words from the World’s End, and most recently My Life as a Godard Movie. Her writing has been widely anthologized, and she has edited fiction and creative nonfiction at 3AM Magazine, Catapult, Five Dials and Gorse Editions. She was awarded a UK Arts Foundation fellowship in 2017 and an Irish government Markievicz Award in the Literature category in 2020, which funded the work on Miss-Communication.
