Mark Wightman longlisted for Ngaio Marsh Best Novel Award

Waking the Tiger by UEA alumnus Mark Wightman has been longlisted for he 2022 Ngaio Marsh Best Novel Award, which is made for the best crime, mystery, or thriller novel written by a New Zealand citizen or resident. It was published by Hobeck last year and is currently shortlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association John Creasy (New Blood) Dagger Award for the best debut crime novel. It was previously shortlisted the Scottish Crime Debut of the Year Award and longlisted for the McIlvanney Prize for the best Scottish crime fiction debut. Mark graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Crime Writing) in 2018, having previously gained an MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh.
